Gozo Gazes Outwards

The small island of Gozo stands at a cross roads caught between the past and the future.

An undiscovered isle in terms of package holidays and global high street brands Gozo bids to modernise without selling out. With ruins that pre-date the pyramids and church interiors that rival Florence its newly conferred world heritage status would seem secure.

But at what price? With talk of road links and bridges to the Maltese mainland the islanders are wary of the future and rural traditions it might lay waste.
